Find your Inisfree Dream...

Imagine a day that captures your unique story, yet reflects your heritage and your history and embodies the desire to fight for your dreams and the pursuit of happiness... This is the story of The Quiet Man, created by one of the world's best Directors, John Ford and winner of Best Cinematography and Best Director awards at the 1953 Oscar Awards, starring the legendary Duke John Wayne and the enchanting Maureen O'Hara, and the fabulous cast of the Irish Players, including the immortal Barry Fitzgerald, the indelible Victor McLaglen and the saintly Ward Bond amongst others.

The story begins at the beautiful Castletown Station, where your wedding story will begin too! The station has been lovingly restored and reimagined as an exclusive wedding venue! Where weddings can be legally performed both indoors and on the famous platform, and where the music from the film fills the air like the steam from the train!

The symbolism and historic nature of this setting cannot be understated, this station has seen a thousand tears of sadness and a thousand tears of joy as people left from that very platform, hugging their loved ones tightly, to begin their new lives in America, England and all over the world, and tears of joy and celebration at their eventual return.

The Quiet Man is loved and beloved throughout the world and celebrated for its enduring love story and the way it depicts the beauty and romance of the Irish countryside.

Now, you too can experience that beauty, staying in the infamous village of Cong, dining in the ever-popular Cohan's Bar (over here it's pronounced... 'Co-Hans'...) and getting married where the best journeys begin... at the actual Castletown Station, lovingly restored and newly designed as "The Irish Gretna Green", synonymous with love, romance and new beginnings. Now is your chance to book your first class ticket to happiness too!

And so they were married. Sean Thornton and Mary Kate Danaher

You'll remember your Quiet Man Wedding till your dying day... if ever you live that long...
