T.Q.M. - Our Promise to you
TQM is not only the acronym for "The Quiet Man", it also stands for "Total Quality Management", and is the foundation of our offering as we take our commitment to both the film and your wedding experience very seriously. We have sourced the best local vendors to bring the best service, and we have tailored a wedding ceremony that draws upon the story of the Quiet Man and the 'Journey', but also has the flexibility to cater for your unique ideas and personalities, to make your day special to you. From the beginning we will get to know you and how best to suit your needs, offering flexibility and suggestions to make your day memorable. Your celebrant, Nicola, will be getting to know you so that your unique story can be featured in the ceremony, and offer practical advice on how best to work with the legal frameworks if you wish to officially base your marriage certificate in Ireland, or how to do the formalities in your home country before coming to Castletown for a more symbolic ceremony without the Irish legal requirements. Finally, your host and hybrid photographer for the day, Mike, will be on hand from your morning preparations till you sit for dinner, to make sure everything runs according to plan, offering stories about the film, local information, and plenty of laughs and fun along the way.
On the day Mike and Nicola will be dressed in period dress from the movie and the music outside and inside the station will be playing the movie soundtrack (which is beautiful), and as you enter the station for your ceremony the music will be accompanied by a harpist playing live, creating a most magical atmosphere... it's like being in the movie!
Our business has an ethos for sustainability and commitment to continued preservation of the Station in Ballyglunin and the preservation of the Movie and its many stories and memories. As a videographer, Mike is currently working on an upscale and remastering of the movie for a new audience, and continuously collecting photos, video and any publications about the film. We further wish to raise the profile and economic wellbeing of the many local businesses and talented vendors and artists used to bring our service to the public, employing local suppliers who know the area and their profession best.
